Rhonda’s project was a truly memorable transformation. I was entrusted with a beautiful full-length brown mink coat, two elegant waist-length mink coats, and a striking black mink coat crafted from a refined blend of fur and leather.

From the full-length brown mink, I designed a collection of custom keepsake pieces:

A sumptuous 36-by-48-inch throw, tailored to the customer’s requested dimensions; two plush 16-by-16-inch pillows finished in fur on every side; one 18-inch pillow accented with rich brown satin backing; one coordinating brown mink bolster; and two charming mink bunnies.

From the black mink coat, I created two sophisticated 18-by-18-inch pillows incorporating the original leather-backed lining, along with one 14-by-14-inch pillow and one 11-by-10-inch pillow. The two smaller pillows were completed with fresh satin lining for a polished, elegant finish.

Dania's Raccoon & Beaver coats were lovingly repurposed into 2 cozy throws, 1 cuddly teddy bear, 1 adorable bunny, and 4 fluffy pompoms. The coats were in excellent condition and a joy to work with. This video walks you through the steps to create a template for filling in the armhole opening.

What an absolutely amazing project this turned out to be! I crafted one large throw, along with two beautifully soft white mink pillows, a charming brown teddy bear, and an adorable white bunny. The throw was in excellent condition, which made it a pure joy to work with. For the teddy bear, I creatively repurposed the lining of a brown coat to fashion its ears, paws, and even a cute little tie. The luxurious white mink cape was transformed into two delightful 14 by 14 pillows and one cuddly bunny. The same soft lining was also utilized in the bunny's ears and paws, as well as its tie, adding a lovely touch. To complete the look of both stuffed animals, I used some elegant buttons from the cape, enhancing their overall charm.

A customer asked if I could use her Mink sleeves from a Mink Coat to make a bunny. The bunny came out so cute! What do you think? Watch the how to above.

I was contacted by a customer who wanted to turn their deceased wife's mink coats into teddy bears for his grandchildren. He had a particular style of bear in mind, but he wanted them all to look a bit different. The pattern that was used was the same for each of the bears, but their look is completely different. The pattern that I used was named Sebastian, and will make a 15 inches fully jointed traditional teddy bear.  They even have a small pattern for a shirt collar.  Although the pattern is designed for mohair I was able to use it for real fur. My final project measured approximately 14 inches due to the bulk of the real fur seams. The fox trim was used in the belly area as well as the shaved down brown parts of the face and ears.
